A Few Pretty Things

I realize that I've been talking a lot about food lately, and yeah, that's a pretty good representation of most all we think about at this house.

But I thought I might sneak in a couple of pretty things that I've been working on so that you know I've been doing a little more than just eating around here.

I finished up a custom hairband order. They are so much fun to make and give me a chance to do something away from the sewing machine.

I finished a dress with my first invisible zipper. This opens a whole new world of sewing!

And finally, have you seen my blog????? All of a sudden, it's beautiful-er! And it's not finished yet, but after swooning over other blogs with beautiful fonts and colors and graphics, I stomped my feet on my meatless-kitchen's floor and clicked this button:

I filled out a super-thorough form on Carrie's site and rambled on and on about what I like and what I don't like and colors and fonts and organization. I've got lots more organizing to do, but at least I feel like I live in a comfortable, classic, fancy place now.

If only I could find a button to push for someone to turn my home from drab to fab!

  3. Delaney LOVES her headbands! She insisted that I bring them up to her Bible School classroom so she could put the pink one on. Then she spent the rest of the day taking turns wearing them all. :-) She has a sunflower jumper that she's going to wear the first day of kindergarten, and the yellow headband looks perfect with it. She says "Thank you so much, Miss Katherine!" ~Kelly
